Today I’m feeling very…fragile. On Friday I learned that the sister of a dear friend was in the hospital. And I had the same reaction that I have every time I hear of someone young and healthy being ill. Everything will be fine. They’ll draw some blood, maybe she’ll spend the night in the hospital, then they’ll send her home telling her to get more rest and take more vitamins.

But a mere 19 hours ago Charity Hope Black Hadick passed away and left behind her husband Brahk and a precious baby boy, Gabe.

I don’t really have a lot to say, because honestly I don’t know what to say.

I’m honored to have spent some time with Charity while capturing her sister’s wedding and can’t shake the feeling that this was all a bad dream.

I’ve asked the family if they would allow me to do a print sale, with all of the proceeds going to Charity’s family. It’s my way of trying to do something, anything to help, even though it’s not much.

I’m asking for $20 plus shipping and you will receive a metallic 8×10 print of anything in this gallery: click here. The gallery will stay active through Tuesday, May 1st and all orders will be shipped to your door by May 8th. Orders can be placed at the link using credit/debit cards, or you can always contact me directly at vcastoe@gmail.co or 405-501-2862.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

And, of course, keep all of Charity’s family in your prayers and thoughts. And please don’t forget to hug the ones you love every single day. I believe that her sister, Mandy, put it best when she reminded us that “life is but a vapor”.

We love you, Charity.

I usually enter weddings with a serious case of the jitters, but that wasn’t the case this time.

I’ve known this couple for quite some time, and there’s nothing like getting to be such an important part of someone you love.

Their families were beyond gracious and fun, which made my job incredibly easy.

I hope you all enjoy the sneak peek. I had so much fun putting it together, including the little video at the end.

(Please oh please remember… I am NOT a videographer. But I couldn’t let all the sweet moves just pass me by.)

You can watch the vide in HD if you follow it to this link: Vimeo
